He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Whittle and Elizabeth Whittle; his siblings, Frank, Pius, Tom, Doris, Lillian, Myrtle, Melita and William; and his son-in-law Bob Bessey.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila; his children, David (Nicole) of Portugal Cove, Dion (Tracey) of Swift Current, Tony (Debbie) of Hay River, NW, Dwayne (Roma), James (Amy) of Pouch Cove, Charlene Whalen (George) of Heatherton and Claudette Bessey of Innisfail, AB; and his grandchildren, Bobbie, Laura, Megan, Hanna, Cheyenne, Justin, Richard, Raymond, Haley, Noah, Adam, Angelica, Rhiann, Lauren and Jacob.
In order to maintain social distancing and to follow the public health advisory of COVID 19, a walk through visitation will take place.
In Maxwell's memory donations may be made to the Burin Peninsula Health Care Palliative Care Unit.
