He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jeanette; his children, Gary Saunders of Marystown, Sandra House (Nicholas) of Grand Bank, Susanne Saunders (Richard Rafuse) of Chester, NS and Tina Moulton (Barry) of Burin; his grandchildren, Dennis Sheppard (Stephanie Kelly), Nikita Hillier (Jamie), Nicole House, Danielle Savoury (Cameron) and Jack Saunders; his great grandchildren, Naomi, Kasen, Khye and Amelia; his siblings, Harriet Coombs of Grand Bank and Chesley Saunders (Lillian) of Grand Bank; his parents, Frances Saunders and George Saunders; his brother-in-law Fred Coombs Sr.; and his grandson-in-law Scott Dicks.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Peninsula Funeral Home (4 Markland Rd, Creston, NL A0E1K0). A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Calvary United Church (25 Markland Rd, Creston, NL A0E1K0). A burial will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Calvary United Cemetery.
