With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sophie Mugford of Makinsons, Newfoundland, who passed away on August 16, 2023 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her son Alexander; her parents, Hubert Dawe and Belinda Dawe; her grandson Cole Mugford; her siblings, Maude Dawe, Eileen Williams (Melvin) and Ron Dawe (Mary); and her brother-in-law Clifford Stead The.

She is survived by: her family Walter Mugford; her children, Guy (Lisa), Sheila Power (William) and Jerry (Barbara Ann); her grandchildren, Alyssa, Devon (Bradley), Hannah, Hayden, William (Brittany), Nathan, Georgia (Tristan), Griffin and Victoria; her great grandchild Kayson; and her siblings, Clarice Stead, Susie Kavanagh (Melvin), Esther Dawe and Reginal Dawe (Nikki).
