He was predeceased by: his parents, Elias Clarke and Lucy Clarke; his siblings, Cecil Clarke, Mary Florence Baker, Emily Jane Butler and Shirley; his granddaughter Kaitlyn Clarke; his parents-in-law, John and Mary Saunders; and his siblings-in-law, Arthur Saunders, Baxter Saunders, Winston Saunders, Jessie Smith and Ida Clarke.

He is survived by: his wife Cynthia; his children, Percy (Gail), Elias (Pauline) of Bay L'Argent, Johnnie (Gloria), Sammy (Brendalee) of Grand Falls and Colleen (Dion) of Bay L'Argent; his grandchildren, Kaylee, Drew, Lynette, Brianna, Michael, Marisa, Bradley, Josh, Harrison and Emma; his great grandchildren, Leo, Lincoln, Aiden, Savanna, Jacob and Jayden; his stepgrandsons, Garrett and Mateo; and his sisters, Ida Moulton of Red Harbour, Ellen Lockyer of Burin and Esther Burton.
