He was predeceased by: his parents, Fredrick Coles and Mary Jane Coles; his stepfather John Coles; his sisters, Silvia, Ethel and Ena; and his half-sister Mabel.

He is survived by: his wife Edna; his son Corrie (Lori); and his siblings, Doris, Margorie and Ben. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
