He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Chippett and Myrtis Chippett; his brothers, Bob, Allan (Dick) and Ben; his father-in-law Bob Adams; and his siblings-in-law, Gilbert Freake and Jean Chippett.
He is survived by: his wife Donna; his daughters, Natasha Mercer (Jason) and Jennifer Paddock (Mike); his grandsons, Mason, Riley, Jayden and Nicholas; his siblings, Alfreda (Grant), Nellie, Sally (Lloyd), Randy, Dan and Alex (Beulah); his siblings-in-law, Suzanne (Blair), Paula (Joe), Verna Chippett, Tracey, Rob and Stephen (Julie); and his mother-in-law Susan. He is also survived by his family and friends.
Because of his love for animals donations in his memory may be made to the Gander and area S.P.C.A.
