With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Owen Eric Vincent Coates (Lewisporte, Newfoundland), born in Botwood, Newfoundland, who passed away on August 16, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Coates and Ivy Coates; his siblings, Harvey, Raymond, Rose and Marie; and his parents-in-law, Doug and Rosie Alcock.
He is survived by: his wife Gillian; his granddaughters, Jillian, Jenna and Gabrielle; and his stepgrandchildren, Alissa and Justin.
