Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Leona Rose Shiwak (Lewisporte, Newfoundland), born in Twillingate, Newfoundland, who passed away at the age of 96, on February 27, 2025. She was predeceased by: her husband Lincoln Shiwak; and her parents, Samuel Watkins and Dorcas Watkins. She is survived by: her grandchildren, Tina (Earl Connolly), Erica (Tom Doucette), Paul (Stephanie Snow) and Crystal Snow; her great grandchildren, Colton, Lincoln, Lucy-Quinn and Ava; and her siblings, Ruby Bradbury (Ford) and Lloyd Watkins (Melva). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews other family and friends.

Visitation was held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Families Funeral Home (9 Forward Dr, Lewisporte, NL A0G 3A0). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Philadelphia Pentecostal Tabernacle (362 Main St, Lewisporte, NL A0G3A0). A burial was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at the Pentecostal Cemetery.
