It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel Mabel Curlew (Lewisporte, Newfoundland), who passed away on February 18, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Angus Ted Curlew; her parents, Simon Hewitt and Phoebe Hewitt; her children, David, Roy and Corena; and her siblings, Myrtle Nichol, Harold Hewitt, William Hewitt, Adam Hewitt, Bonnie Combden and Jessie Brett.
She is survived by: her children, Karen (Brian Pike), John (Wanda), Brian (Elaine), Melanie (Ken Tucker), Paul (Tammy) and Paulette (Todd Maye); her grandchildren, Kenny (Nicole), Susan (Tim), Chad (Cyndi), Jody (Jennifer), Janine (Andrew), Stacey (Steve), Melissa, Rebecca, Victoria, Angus (Victoria), Aimee and Hannah; her daughters-in-law, Diane and Linda Curlew; and her sisters, Sarah Hewitt, Alma Tucker and Gertrude Tilley. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
