With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hartland Wellman (Lewisporte, Newfoundland), who passed away on February 4, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Julie; his sons-in-law, Trevor Fox of Lower Sackville, N. S. and John Harrison of Beaverbank, NS; his parents, Amelia Wellman and Henry Wellman of McCallum; his parents-in-law, Mary and John Hodder of Margaree; his brother Johnny of McCallum; and his siblings-in-law, Marion Hodder, Edith Loveless, Samuel Northcotte, Garfield Seymour, Peter Durnford, Terrence Keeping, Roy Loveless, Howard Fudge and Eric Lilly.
He is survived by: his wife Lillian (Hodder); his children, Chris (Monique) of Campbellton and Leoda Harrison of Beaverbank, NS.; his grandsons, Mark, Jack and Issac of Beaverbank, NS.; his siblings, Maisie Fudge of McCallum, Jane Fitzpatrick (Tom) of Lords Cove, NL. and Kevin of McCallum; and his siblings-in-law, Susie Northcott of Margaree, Shirley Seymour of Margaree, Phoebe Durnford of Margaree, Lousie Keeping of Margaree, Norma Lilly (Wilson Billard), Jim Hodder (Zenith) of Margaree and Raymond Hodder (Eileen) of Port. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
As expressions of sympathy donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Exploits Valley S.P.C.A will be greatly accepted.
