He was predeceased by: his parents, Obediah Cole and Susie Cole; and his siblings, Bob (Sally) and Florence (Clem Oldford). He is survived by: his wife Cora; his children, Bev (Dave), Lana (Mervin Day), Donna, Rod (Jackie) and Greg (Erica); and his grandchildren, Megan (Brock), Terrilynn, Ryden, Sutton and Kasey. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
