She was predeceased by: her husband Garland Simms; her parents, Frederick Gill and Violet Gill; her stepfather Edgar Simms; her brothers, Ronald Gill (Audrey) and Cluney Gill (Maisie); her daughter-in-law Glenna Simms; her siblings-in-law, Wilson Simms (Sybil), Ruby Torraville (George), Rowena Gavin (Thomas) and Rebecca Gill; and her niece Betty Hancock.
She is survived by: her children, Violet Chaulk (Eric), Edgar (Judi), Heather Dwyer (Chris) and Winna Ryan (Jim); her grandsons, Jamie Ryan, Mathew Dwyer (Tammy), Adam Dwyer (Jessica), Mark Simms (Amy) and Shane Ryan (Stephanie); her great grandchildren, Carly, Kaiden, Raquia, Raquel, Suri and Sage; and her brother Albert Gill.
