She was predeceased by: her parents, Levi Canning and Thursa Canning; her husband Calvin; her daughter-in-law Julie; her grandchildren, Brian Keith and Michelle; her great grandchild Chloe; her siblings, Blanche, Lucy, Cecil and Hedley; and her siblings-in-law, Roy Porter, Peter Quinlan and Ruth Canning.
She is survived by: her children, Ivan (Linda), Kavin (Linda), Mervin (Cindy), Myra (Dana), Ken (Julie) and Laura; her siblings, Racheal Brace (Sid), Dulcie Godfrey (Layton), Eileen Quinlan and Clarence Canning (Sheila); and her siblings-in-law, Lester Russell and Helen Canning. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren also a large circle of family and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Pentecostal Church (244 Main St, Birchy Bay, NL A0G3A0). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
As expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be gratefully accepted.
