He was predeceased by: his wife Elossie Manuel; his son Gerard Smith; his parents, William Smith and Anastasia Smith; and his siblings, James Smith, Jerry Smith, Elizabeth Kennedy and Madonna Smith.
He is survived by: his son Sean (Amanda); his grandchildren, Crystal Decola (Spencer), Shawna, Ashton and Shyanne; and his siblings, Margaret (Ron), Donald (Nina), Hughie (Jeanette) and Raymond (Jackie).
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Roman Catholic Church (263 Citizens Dr, Norris Arm, NL A0G3M0). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
As expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Roman Catholic Cemetery Fund, Norris Arm.
