She was predeceased by: her husband Bernard Wheeler; her parents, Albert Strickland and Elizabeth Strickland; her siblings, Melvin Strickland and Shirley Byrne; her parents-in-law, George and Mary Wheeler; and her sister-in-law Melinda Joyce Morris.

She is survived by: her children, Lyndon Strickland (Lisa), Marsha Sheppard (Lewie) and Mandy Wheeler; her grandchildren, Braden Sheppard (Chantal) and Alicia Sheppard; her siblings, Maxwell Strickland, Gerald Strickland, Cassandra Sheppard (Sam), Junior Strickland (Rose), Hazel Batt (Raymond), Bernice Joyce (Warren), Jerome Strickland (Marilyn) and Robert Strickland (Wanda); her brothers-in-law, Harold Wheeler and David Byrne; her pet Whiskey; and her friend Max. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends.

In keeping with her wishes, due to Covid-19, there will be a private family service at the St. James Anglican Church in Lark Harbour.

As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lark Harbour Anglican Church Fund.
