He was predeceased by: his wife Caroline Lovell; his parents, James Lovell and Gertrude Lovell; his siblings, Mary Osmoinnd and Edgar Lovell; his father-in-law Roy King; and his brothers-in-law, Brian King and Carl Sheppard.

He is survived by: his children, Marie McGrath (Ryan), Mitchell Lovell (Chantal) and Monica Stanley (Jon); his grandchildren, Mia, Kylie, James and Jackson; his siblings, Florence, Roberta, Shirley and Leslie; his mother-in-law Rosella King; and his siblings-in-law, Roy, Lawrence, Sherman, Daphne, Jackie, Sheila and Vanessa.

In Wayne's memory, donations can be made to St. Mary's Anglican Church.
