He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Herritt and Elsie Herritt; his son Tommy; his siblings, Wendell, Phil, Isaac, Susie, Hazel, Clarissa, Irene and Eva; and his siblings-in-law, Robert MacDonald, Michael Walsh, Allan Porter, Hubert Enwood, Miner King, Lillian Herritt and Liza Jane Herritt.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his children, Tim Herritt (Marilyn) of Halifax, Heather Fish of Halifax and Ruth Syguin (Ray) of Ontario; his stepchildren, Bill Ayers (Juanita) of Brooks, AB., Bradley Ayers of Czech Republic, Betty Lockyer (Warren) of Lamaline and Bonnie Ayers of Lamaline; his siblings, Ruth Wells (Gerald) of Halifax, Christina MacDonald of Port, Jim Herritt, Basques, Ephraim Herritt (Eileen) of Isle-Morte and John Herritt of Halifax; his siblings-in-law, Mary Walsh of Lamaline, Gordon Vokey (Barbara) of Spaniard's Bay and Warren Tilley (Ruby) of Kelligrews; and his close friends, Greg Hardy and Dick Foote.
