She was predeceased by: her husband Edward "Twit" Besso; her parents, Evelyn Tilley and Randell Tilley; her siblings, Raymond Tilley, Bette Meaney and Lois Morgan; and her son-in-law William "Bill" Howse.
She is survived by: her children, Randy (Fitz), Greg (Joanne Wicks), Annette Howse, Jennifer Cummins (Steve), Linda (Aaron) and Diane Besso; her grandchildren, Angie Legge (Kent), Robert Besso (Jennifer O'Brien), Bradley Howse, Renee Hallingham (Rob), Ashley Newell (Alfie), Randell Besso (Melissa), Lisa Walsh (Scott), Jessica Besso (Gerry King) and Katie Moussa Mark (Khaled); and her sisters, Olga Dawe, Joan Johnson, Sandra MacLennan and Brenda Morgan.
