It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edna Elizabeth Flight of Howley, Newfoundland, who passed away on February 9, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Cyril Flight; her son David Flight; her parents, Abraham Simms and Helen Simms; and her brothers, Herbie (Eliza), Gideon (Glennet) and Harvey.
She is survived by: her children, Gordon (Sylvia), Graham, Oliver, Cyril Jr., Phyllis (John), Myra and Ellen; her grandchildren, Michelle (Ken), Sylvia, Jenna, Dennis (Amy), Steven (Kelly), Brian, Herbie Jr., Justin, Tyson and Joshua; her great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Madison, Faith, Colton and Connor; her sister Olive King; and her nephew Bruce E. Simms. She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives, and many friends.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Edna's memory to the Mt. Carmel Pentecostal Church, Howley, NL.
