He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonso and Clara; his daughter Sandra Burry; his grandson Russell; his siblings, Ralph, Jean and Annette; and his parents-in-law, Herman (Joe) and Bessie Barnes.

He is survived by: his wife Eileen; his children, Loretta, Lisa and Bradley; his son-in-law Anthony; his grandchildren, Jerry (Danielle), Shane (Mandy), Teresa (Mitchell) and Dana (Shannon); his great grandchildren, Gavin, Kylie, Charlie, Bentley, Meadow and Aiden; and his siblings, Alvina, Douglas (Sheila) and Reuben (Wanda). He is also survived by sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and a large circle of extended family and friends.

Donations in Alex's memory may be given to The Kidney Foundation.
