He was predeceased by: his parents, Millicent and Walter Tobin Sr.; his parents-in-law, Alfreda and George Batten; and his brothers-in-law, Patrick Whiffen, Wayne Batten and David Batten.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his sons, David (April) and Brian; his siblings, Patricia Nugent (Gary), Cynthia Jardine (Peter), Rita Walsh (Gordon), Joan (late Patrick Whiffen) and Angus (Nancy); his sister-in-law Brenda Downey Tobin (Ed Dyke); his goddaughter Dianna Perry; his close friends, Vicky Porter, Doug Rideout, Harold Blackmore and Clarence Ford; his brother John (Ellen); and his pet Maggie.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of Walter's life will take place at a time when his family and friends can safely gather together.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Pentecostal Faith Cemetery, Long Pond, or to a charity of one's choice.
