He was predeceased by: his parents, William John and Mary Butler; his granddaughter Aleigha; and his siblings, Lillian, Tasker and Cyril.

He is survived by: his sons, Mike (Lisa) and Kenneth Butler (Lisa); his grandchildren, Sebastian, Cameron, Tesslyn, Kayleigh and Bailey; his siblings, Ross, David and Christine; and his close friends, Peter, Bev Lethbridge, Darren Flynn and Andrew Dawe. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family.
