He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Ada; his stepdaughter Samantha (Glenn); his children, Rebecca and Will; his siblings, Don Abbott (Mary) and Geraldine Tilley; his sister-in-law Clarice; his children, Scott Abbott (Michelle) and Susan Batten (Jimmy); his stepdaughter Jennifer O'Reilly; his stepgrandchildren, Ellen, Daniel, Dwayne and Sean O'Reilly; his parents, Naboth Abbott and Annie Belle Abbott; his brother David; and his brother-in-law Rex Tilley. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and many friends.
In light of the current pandemic situation and considering the age and medical condition of those most likely to gather in Gerry's honour, the family has requested that there be no visitation.
Gerald Walter Abbott Passed peacefully away at St. Luke's Home in the company of those who loved him, Gerald Walter Abbott, age 70, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease.
