He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas and Bertha McCarthy; his daughter Michelle; his grandson Trevor; his stepson Paul; and his siblings, Betsy, Bride, Mary and Bill.
He is survived by: his children, Mike (Bonnie), Danny, Dianne, Gerry (Gerard), Florrie (Richard), Sharon, Wayne (Barbara), Keith, Bernie (Kelly) and Gerard; his pet Gismo; his grandchildren, Justin, Evan, Tanya, Melissa, Emily, Jeffrey, Jordan, Jared, Joshua, Gavin, Miranda, Keifer, Katie, Madeline and Michelle; his great grandchildren, Abigail, Cameron and Chardanne; his siblings, Angela, Madeline, Flo, Annie, Tess, Gert (Pete) and Tom (Debbie); and his stepgrandchildren, Ben, Sarah, Connor and Bernadette.
