He is survived by: his wife Janet; his daughter Ashley; his mother Laura Rideout; his parents-in-law, Olive and Winston Butt; his siblings, Ed (Ethel), Boyd (Myrtius), Colin (Tina), Corey, Sylvia and Lily (Robert); and his sister-in-law Angela (Rodney).
In keeping with Perry's wishes, donations in his memory can be made to H Bliss Murphy Cancer Care Clinic, St. John's.
