He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Hussey and Olive Hussey; his brother Hector Hussey; and his father-in-law Willie Cooper. He is survived by: his wife Audrey; his daughters, Sue Elliott (Jerry), Karina Arnold (James) and Beth Hynes (Eugene); his grandchildren, Jenna, Mitchel, Nathan, Laura, Carter and Tyler; his stepgrandchildren, Madison, Mackenzie and Mitchell; his sister Barbara Larson (Dayeton); his parents-in-law, Nina Cooper, Mary Ann Hussey, Howard Cooper (Christine), Diane Gidge (Lorne) and Peter Cooper (Lorraine); and his aunt Merle Bailey.

Donations in Max's memory may be given to Crohn's and Colitis Canada and Candlelighters Association of NL., which is a volunteer charitable organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for children with cancer and their families since 1982.
