He was predeceased by: his parents, William Abbott and Lillian Abbott; his siblings, Mona, Sophie, Clayton, Gordon, Earl, Roland and Wilfred (Henry); his daughter Sonia; his parents-in-law, Samuel and Mary Jane Davis; and his siblings-in-law, Millie Davis and Allan Davis.

He is survived by: his wife Mary; his sons, Cameron (Stephanie), Dana (Maureen) and Neil (Lisa); his sister Ruby; and his grandchildren, Hayden and Sophie. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
