With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ernest Arthur Herritt (Hermitage, Newfoundland), who passed away on November 23, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Herritt and Florence Herritt; his siblings, William and Thelma; his siblings-in-law, Betty and Ray Osmond; and his daughter-in-law Jeanette.
He is survived by: his wife Madeline; his children, Barbara (Everett), Anita (Frank), Lloyd (Donna), Joslyn (Wayne), John (Bernice) and Glenn; his grandchildren, Tanya, Melissa, Deon, Christopher, Christa, April, Brent, Brittany, Adam and Ashley; his great grandchildren, Austin, Aaron, Simone, Corey, Noah, Cody and Owen; his great great grandchildren, Ander, Finn, Pearson, Adelaide and Levi; and his sister Marion (Basques).
Visitation was held on Monday, November 25th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. Saviour's Anglican Church.
