It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Joseph Johnson (Harbour Round, Newfoundland), who passed away on March 1, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrose Johnson and Annie Johnson; his sisters, Bridget Burton (Elijah), Josephine Wells (William), Ellen Joy (William) and Marie Lush (Robert); his son-in-law Shawn Batstone; and his siblings-in-law, Alphonsus Matthews, Thomas Payne and Lorne Fudge.
He is survived by: his wife Veronica Johnson of Harbour Round, NL; his children, Dolores Newbury (Larry) of Shoe Cove, NL, Shannon Johnson (Lori-Ann) of Fort McMurray, AB, Marie Batstone (Otto Shiner) of Smith's Harbour, NL, Ward Johnson (Diane), Hilda Gray (Steve) of Fort McMurray, AB and Timmy Johnson (Shelly) of Fort McMurray, AB; his grandchildren, Dean (Alysha), Jonah, Christopher (Michelle), Shane (Kendra), Renee (Wesley), Nikita (Timothy), Nick, Lucas and Madison; his great grandchildren, Jacob, Jensen, Blake, Kaylan and Savannah; his siblings, Kathleen Matthews, Margaret Drover (Ambrose), Agnes Payne, David Johnson (Lillian) and Audrey Thomas (Eric); and his siblings-in-law, Mabel Hurley (Andy), Mary Drover (Sylvester), Evelyn Skinner (Eddie), Stanley Giles (Roxanne), Violet Fudge (Dave Haas), Junior Giles (Delores), Valerie Giles (Terry Symonds) and Roxanne Giles (Sean Payne).
In keeping with the COVID-19 guidelines, those attending the visitation must provide NLVaxPass or proof of vaccination + photo id to attend the visitation.
