Shirley Byrne Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Byrne of Harbour Grace, Newfoundland, who passed away on February 16, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Whalen and Veronica Whalen; her siblings, John, Ralph, Bridget, Jim Whalen (Annie), Tom Whalen, Leo Whalen, Ned Whalen (Marina), Allan Whalen (Glenys), Terry Whalen, Alice Newman (George), Theresa Smith (Cecil), Rose Earle, Veronica Snow (Abner) and Mary Newman (Jim); and her sisters-in-law, Emma Whalen and Gertrude Whalen.
She is survived by: her husband Leo; her daughters, Nichole Byrne (Mark Coppard) and Ashley Byrne (Matthew Hiscock); her grandchildren, Brady, Shay, Sara-Anne, Daniel, Casey, Laila, Lamar, Owen, Isabelle, Riley, Jayden and Ellie; her brothers, Mike Whalen of Spaniard's Bay and Peter Whalen of Spaniard's Bay; her sisters-in-law, Doreen Whalen and Alice Whalen; and her niece Nancy Connors (Christine Galway). She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
