He was predeceased by: his son Harry; his parents, Harry and Agnes; his parents-in-law, John Littlejohn and Bride Littlejohn; his brothers-in-law, Cal Gilbert and Gerald Cain; his niece Debbie London; and also Katie Youngberg.
He is survived by: his wife Alice; his children, Joan Short (Billy), Darlene Burke (John), Kenneth (Bev) and Riverhead; his grandchildren, Alice (Lee), Benjamin, Makenna, Braden, Olivia and Addison; his great grandchildren, Zoe and Gabriel; his siblings, Bernie (Sharon), Eileen Crocker (Randy), Paradise, Joan Gilbert, Carbonear, Betty Cain and Riverhead; and also, Torbay and Marie Arnold of Ottawa, ON.
