He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin and Mary; his sister Rita Russell (Ron); his parents-in-law, Bernard and Eileen Farrell; his siblings-in-law, John Baker, Mary Smith and Cynthia Misch; and his siblings, Edgar of Sudbury, ON, Austin (Suzanne), Dave (Christine), Marystown, Gertrude Baker, Linda Turpin (Alec) and Mount Pearl.
He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Paulette Smith, Nicole Godden (Greg), Goose Bay and George Jr. (Tracy); his siblings-in-law, Bernard Farrell (late Debbie) of Harbour Grace, Murray Misch of Harbour Grace, Lynda Greeley (Aubrey) of Ottawa, ON, Debbie Gregory (Gabe), Sharon Crummey (Dwayne) and Michelle McCarthy (Pat); and his pets, Molly, Zoe and Murphy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
