Phyllis Strickland Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phyllis Strickland of Harbour Breton, Newfoundland, who passed away on May 24, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Bungay and Jane Bungay; her parents-in-law, Samuel and Frances Strickland; her sister Irene Hynes; her brothers-in-law, Sandy Hynes, John Oke and Roderick Strickland; and her nephew Rick Hynes.

She is survived by: her husband Samuel; her children, Rhonda (Calvin Snook), Diane (Todd Jackman) and Duanne (Jackie); her grandchildren, Matthew Snook (Maria), Joshua Strickland (Katherine), Jayde Strickland (Luke), Kellie Snook (Aaron) and Taylor Jackman (Rebecca); her great grandchild Callie Snook; her siblings, Bella Oke, Emma Bullen (George), Bruce Bungay (Charlotte) and Murray Bungay (Marilyn); her caregivers, Cheryl Thornhill and Barbara Stoodley; and her close friends, Theresa Mary Smith and Millie Skinner.
