Margaret (Cox) Hudson Obituary
Margaret “Margie/Marg” Ann (nee Cox) Hudson of St. Alban’s, aged 75, passed peacefully away at home, surrounded by her loving family, on September 1, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is now reunited with her cherished husband, Larry Hudson.
She was predeceased by her mother, Estella; father, George; brothers, Albert and Adonis; stepmother, Adelia; and brothers-in-law, Ross Willcott, Roland MacDonald, and Ragaie Diebes.
She leaves to mourn her sisters, Melita Cox, Mary MacDonald Diebes, Anita Willcott (Tom Brazil), and Sandra Willcott (Richard); her stepchildren, Lawrence, Andre, Peter, Patrick, Mary Ann, and Louise; and nephews, Roland & Shannon MacDonald, Justin, Steve & Wayne Willcott. She also leaves behind her nieces, Vanessa & Amanda Farrell, Gloria Mackie, Tracey Barnes, Sonja Hoskins, April Willcott, Chantal & Cheryl Cox, and Sharon Collier. Additionally, she leaves a special circle of friends whom the family wishes to thank for their relentless support to both Marg and the family.
The family extends their gratitude to the palliative care team for ensuring Marg’s wish to die at home was honoured. A heartfelt thank you goes to her home support workers, Libby Organ and Pauline Benoit, who consistently went above and beyond.
Throughout her career, Marg worked as a switchboard operator with CNT and later with Hydro, before joining her husband, Larry, as a camera person at the CBC. Marg's legacy is one of kindness; she always lent a helping hand without expecting anything in return. Her belief in seeing the good in everyone was unwavering, often overlooking faults and advocating for equality for all, regardless of their background or beliefs.
Our hearts are heavy but we are left with too many fond memories to mention. Rest in peace sweet sister; your toil is over and the battle done.
