He was predeceased by: his wife Blanche; his parents, Simeon Simms and Gertrude Simms; and his brothers, Chesley Simms, Thomas Simms and Garfield Simms.
He is survived by: his children, Yvonne Syed, Amy Krell (Tom), Rick (Neva), Wade (Loretta), Greg (Debbie), Corey (Barbara) and David (Martha); his siblings, Minnie Meade (James), Elizabeth Eavis, Mary Dominix (George), Hazel Hillier (Edward), Chris Simms and Alex Simms (Wanda); and his caregivers, Jane Pierce and Edith Skinner. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
