He was predeceased by: his wife Vera; his brothers, Samuel Skinner and Albert Skinner; his parents, Richard Skinner and Pearl Skinner; his parents-in-law, Clayton, Sarah Sheppard and Abner Mullins; and his stepgranddaughter Brittany John.
He is survived by: his children, Janice (Gary Bungay), Donna (Gervaise John), Todd (Jennifer), Mark (Roxanne) and Colin (Kim) of Bryant's Cove; his grandchildren, Adam, Nikita (Desmond), Michael (Sarah), Nicholas, Cameron, Sarah, Jackson and Samantha; his stepgrandson Bradley John; his close friend Rosemary John; his siblings, Cecil Skinner (Beverly), Gerald Skinner (Monie), Roy Skinner, Ethel Mary Skinner and Anne (Larry Bungay); and his siblings-in-law, Mona Sheppard, Marilyn Skinner, Maude Skinner, Jim Sheppard and Aaron Sheppard (Christine). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 28th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Friday, November 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Spencer's Funeral Home (190 Canada Dr, Harbour Breton, NL A0H1P0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church (132 Bay d'Leau Dr, Harbour Breton, NL A0H0A4).
