It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Melvin Hindy of Hants Harbour, Newfoundland, who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Mavis; his parents, Jacob Hindy and Violet Hindy; and his brothers, Wycliffe (Marion) and Wallace.
He is survived by: his children, Beverly Button, Kevin (Charlene), Brian (Glenda), Grant (Cherie) and Perry; his grandchildren, Travis (Stacey), Andrew (Jillian), Ruby (Chad), Ryan (Samantha), Rachel (Josh), Jacob, Keiryn and Isabella; and his great grandchildren, Xander, Teaghan, Brady, Bentley and Hudson.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Green's Funeral Home (273 Main Rd, Winterton, NL A0B 3M0).
In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
