He was predeceased by: his wife Sadie; his son James; his parents, Stephen and Emma; his parents-in-law, George and Julia Parsons; his son-in-law William; his siblings, Steve, Augustus, James and Jean; and his siblings-in-law, Fred, Bill, Olive, Maude and Florence.

He is survived by: his children, Donald (Maxine), Jean, David (Agnes) and Dianne (Robert); his grandchildren, Trevor (Sandy), Megan, Donald (Paulette), David (Anna), Paul, Dana and Robbie (Christine); his great grandchildren, Avni, Larkin, Claire, Kate, Thomas, Brady, Landon, Connor, Madison and Ariana; and his caregivers, Monica and Trish. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and a large circle of relatives and friends.
