He was predeceased by: his parents, Verdun Ellis and Ethel Ellis; his siblings, Ernest and Dulcie; his brother-in-law Jack Snow; and his parents-in-law, Norman and Elizabeth Lewis.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Natalie Robinson (Reg), Craig (Krista Percy) and Jeffrey (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Joshua Robinson (Taylor), Paige Ellis (Matthew), Grant Ellis (Alicia), Jenna Percy, Aaron Percy (Sydney), Charley Ellis and Avery Ellis; and his siblings, Ron (Jill), Marie Dettanikkeaze, Neil (Shawna) and Reg (Marilyn).
