He was predeceased by: his parents, Flora May (Pomeroy) and Beaton Smith; and his brothers, Harold Smith (Katherine) and David. He is survived by: his siblings, Melvina, Patsy (late Gerald Barker), Yvonne (late Peter Van), Verna (late Earl Lewis) and Aubrey (Jacinta). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
