With solemn reverence, we commemorate Sylvia Gwendolyn Squires (Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland), born in Catalina, Newfoundland, whose life came to an end on December 13, 2024 at the age of 91, leaving behind cherished memories. She was predeceased by: her parents, Chesley Moore and Gwendolyn Moore; her husband Jack Squires; her siblings, Joyce Scott, Jean Squires and Ronald Moore; and her granddaughter Stephanie Squires.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie (Pete) and Eddie (Ruby); her grandchildren, Jordan, Sasha and Jennifer; her great grandchildren, Syndey, Jayden and Aymara; and her sisters, Marilyn Connolly and Phyllis Paddock. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 18th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Hoskins Funeral Home (12 Earle St, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL A2B1E8). A funeral service was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Evangel Pentecostal Church (131 Grenfell Heights, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL A2A2R9).
