She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Dawe and Elizabeth Dawe; and her sister Betty Fancey. She is survived by: her sisters, Vida Fudge, Barbara Mullett, Carol Clarke (Wally), Linda Peckford (Harold) and Judy Cole (Dave); her brother-in-law James Fancey; and her close friend Mary Booth. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Donations can be made in Shirley's memory to the Salvation Army Citadel in Grand Falls.
