With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Katherine Power (Grand Falls-Windsor, Newfoundland), who passed away on February 4, 2022 at the age of 101. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruth Katherine Power to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her husband Maurice; her parents, William Kelly and Mary Kelly; her siblings, Nell Way, Jack Kelly, Loretta Kelly, Monica Wilson, Bride Flood and Doug Kelly; and her son-in-law Andre Lafargue.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Pearcey (David), Leigh Clark (Gerry), Lynn Lafargue, Donna Shears (Scott), Maurice Power (Mary), Dennis Power (Brenda) and Terry Power; and her sister Rita Turner. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In keeping with the COVID-19 guidelines the visitation will take place Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm from Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, 10 Bayley Street, Grand Falls-Windsor, NL.
In lieu of flowers, and as expressions of sympathy donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation DONATE HERE or the Grand Falls Legion Branch 12.
