He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor Toope and Nora Toope (Gosse); and his siblings, Shirley Morris Toope, Mary Morris Toope (Keefe) and Victor Toope Jr..

He is survived by: his wife Lucy Toope (Snow); his daughters, Cathy and Lisa (Corry); his grandsons, Dustin, Matthew, Marcello, Tylor Toope and Brandon Campbell-Toope; his great grandchildren, Skye, Jayde and Sophia Toope; and his brother Ivan (Violet). He is also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and a circle of other relatives and friends.
