He was predeceased by: his parents, Shirley Bourne and Charles Lewis; his grandparents, Allen, Dora Bourne, Charles Chapman and Gertrude Lewis; his stepfather Harold Lewis; and his brother Chuck Lewis.

He is survived by: his wife Louise Verge; his children, Chad Verge (Sarah Maloney), Jamie Verge (Melissa) and Tonya Lambert (Wayne); his stepmother Sheila Lewis; his siblings, Joyce (Tommy), Glenda (Calvin), Karen (Melvin), Elizabeth (Brad), Tammy (Monty), Bob (Lois), Keith (Florence), Rodney (Gladys), Donny (Tracy) and Mark (Goldie); his grandchildren, Jessica, Chantelle, Cordell, Tianna, Nicholas, Nathan, Jennalyn, Alyia and Cole; his great grandchildren, Matty, Laci, Marshall, Aubree and Cason; and his aunts and uncles, Velma (Herb), Carol (Gary), Keith (Marg), Dave (Judy), Trevor (Kathy) and Wayne (Elaine). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews as well as a large circle of relatives and friends.

Following Covid restrictions a private visitation for family and friends only will take place on Thursday, Oct. 21 from 6-9 p. m. with cremation to follow.
