Lorraine certainly had a passion for life and her cherished family and friends. She had a deep love for all she was close to and made it her mission in life to help and care for others. In the beginning of her career, Lorraine loved being an LPN and cared very much for her patients. She then dedicated a large portion of her life as one of the founders of the Violence Prevention South and Central and the Status of Women Central. She was very proud of her initiative to build a women’s housing unit which after its completion, the project was named Hearn Haven in her honor. Lorraine also helped victims of abuse through sharing her own story which gave the victims the courage and belief in themselves to heal and create a better life of their own. She was a pillar of the community and highly respected by many. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Forever loved.
