He was predeceased by: his mother Annie Roberts; his stepfather Alvin Roberts; his father Scott Jewer; and his brother Tony Burt. He is survived by: his wife Edna Burt; his stepsons, Michael Whiteman (Daisy), William Whiteman and Percy Whiteman; his granddaughter Sarah Whiteman; his siblings, Cindy Roberts, Alvin Jr. Roberts (Flossie) and Corey Roberts; his aunt Ida Baker; his uncle Clarence Hibbs (Linda); and his nephews, Alexander Roberts, Thomas Roberts, Ryan Roberts and Troy Roberts.

Due to Covid restrictions, Majors Ray and Denise Saunders will conduct a private service.
