He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth Moores; his parents, Pearce Vokey and Alfreda Vokey; his parents-in-law, Patrick and Ellen McPherson; his siblings, Rowena Emmons and Arthur (Lorna); his stepsiblings, Roy Vokey, Greta and Natha Bates; and his brothers-in-law, Alphonsus McPherson, Mark McPherson and Phillip Walsh.
He is survived by: his children, Rhonda Moores (Hughie Perry) of Paradise, NL, Dana Moores of Kamloops, BC and Nicole Ward (Tony); his grandchildren, Ryan, Emily, Cedar, Harmony, Brittany, Devon, Zoey, Skylar, Alec, Montana, Bella and Lisa; his great grandchild Ashylnn; his siblings, Pearce Moores (Sarah), Wilbourne Moores (Joan), George Moores (Carol) and Keith Vokey; his stepsiblings, Nelson Vokey (Shirley), Marie Vokey (Eugene Osbourne) and Lorraine Dwyer; and his siblings-in-law, Victoria Moores, Vera Andrews, Mavis McPherson, Marion Walsh, Francis McPherson, Leo McPherson (Carol), Micheal McPherson, Bernadette McPherson and James McPherson.
A funeral service was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Funeral Home (22 Main St, Baie Verte, NL A0K1B0). A burial was held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at the Trinity Pentecostal Cemetery.
