He was predeceased by: his wife Genevieve Barry (Gen); his parents, Mark Hynes and Matilda Hynes (Clayson); his siblings, Charles, Frank, Kenneth, James, Maude, Susie, Bessie, Ralph, Reginald, John, Winnifred, Sydney and Hilda; and his grandsons, Jeffrey Hynes and Joseph Alderson.
He is survived by: his children, Peter (Shirley), David (Debra), Timothy (Colleen), Margaret (Frank Loveridge), Richard (Jack), Eileen (David Nichols), Tammy (Orville Alderson), Kenneth (Eileen), Dean (Melanie) and Barry (Heather); his grandchildren, Brian, Kayla, Lee, Marcus, Matthew, Sarah, Jill, Nick, Ryan, Melissa and Genna; and his great grandchildren, Olivia, Joshua, Tegan, Jackson, Grace, Hudson, Shane, Allison, Tyler, Gavin and Wyatt.
In lieu of flowers, donations in George's honor can be made to The Lionel Kelland Hospice in Grand Falls-Windsor.
