He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Samson and Lizzie Samson; his brothers, Gordon and Barry; and his daughter Joyce.

He is survived by: his wife Ethel; his brothers, Milton (Gloria) and Terry (Ida); his stepmother Lillian Samson; and his sister-in-law Cynthia Samson. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
